Rougaroux the line of rums from Donner-Poltier. It is named for what they describe as "they mysterious
creature" lurking in the cajun country of Louisiana. It is said it comes out only on the full moon to "do justice on the wicked." The Full Moon Dark rum comes from blackstrap molasses from sugar grown and milled locally to the distillery in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It is aged in white oak prior to bottling. They call it a "whiskey sipper's rum." Donner-Peltier Distillers is located in Louisiana and is proud of their "grain-to-glass" microdistillery status. It was founded by Tom and Beth Donner and Henry and Jennier Peltier.
